Colours Colours are orientated to different kinds of beer and named accordingly.
Watermark No
Environmental Information 60% recycled beer labels, 30% beer fibre
Recommendations Silkscreen looks good on the darker colours
For best possible results with offset printing, we recommend 130-150 line screens
Depending on the application, the beer dregs may be picked off by the printing blanket. The occurence of pickouts during offset printing is high. Artwork should be designed to minimise full colour coverage and incorporate features which are not severely degraded by a few pickouts
Pils, Ale & Bock are varnished one side to reduce the picking and increase the print fidelity. Prior to printing the alternative side, we recommend flood coating with a single pass of varnish.
Allow adequate drying time before over-printing the intended image on the newly varnished side.
It is highly recommended that printers carefully select inks and be prepared for frequently washing of blankets and plates (every 500-1000 sheets)
The use of high-tack inks should be avoided
Colour variations in the sheet reflect the natural fibre character of the paper
