Priplak is a strong yet flexible plastic sheet, ideal for communication and display products, packaging and stationery. It can be converted in many ways, and is loved by designers and specifiers because of its fresh, modern appearance.

Priplak Cristaline
Priplak Cristaline has two very different sides – a highly polished gloss top side which really shines, and a reverse, (toothy, textured) pearl side that sparkles with reflected light. Priplak Cristaline is produced with 100% transparent grade polymer which really makes a big difference to the finished product. It is ideal for folders and binders, document holders and cases; upscale invitations, and covers. It is also an excellent choice for luxury packaging – especially when partnered with high quality gold or silver foil.

Priplak Opaline
The original emboss, and still our most popular finish. With its ‘smooth’ matt top side and ‘toothy’ textured pearl underneath, Priplak Opaline provides the opportunity for high quality print.

Priplak Transparent Lines
High gloss, shiny and reflective top side with parallel lines embossed at 45 degrees to the edge. The reverse is a pure gloss finish, and the end result great for striking boxes or folders or indeed any product that wants to stand out from the crowd. Please ensure that you are completely sure which way the lines will run on your finished product.

Priplak Stardust Silver
Catch the sparkling reflection from thousands of tiny particles that help define Priplak Stardust as one of our most popular special grades. It adds a new and subtle dimension to stationery, presentation products, packaging or POS. A versatile performer that is as classy as it is understated.

Priplak Classic
Priplak Classic is a range of opaque colours, with a smooth satin emboss on one side and a textured pearl emboss on the reverse.

Suitable Print Techniques:

  • Screen Printing
  • Litho Printing (if online UV facilities are available)
  • Easily cut and creased
  • Hot foil blocking – Brass or steel block preferred

Printing Inks – use inks for Polypropylene. If Priplak is used within a litho printed job, (e.g. as a cover) avoid litho inks with high mineral oil distillate as Priplak can be distorted/caused to curl. Vegatable/Soya based inks or similar can reduce the distortion. Check with ink supplier. It is also recommended any litho printed surface in contact with Priplak, as part of the finished job, be sealed by film lamination

Applications:

  • Point of Sale Display
  • Carrier Bags
  • Wine Carriers
  • Folders
  • Document Cases
  • Boxes & Packaging

Environmental Information

An environmentally sound plastic
Polypropylene offers many advantages due to its composition. It is a polyolefin, and doesn’t contain any halogens, or Chlorine. It is also free from any plastifiers, such as phtalates, which are often used in the production of PVC. After finishing with a product made from Priplak, the material can be recycled, or burnt or added to landfill, without any risk of toxic substances harming the environment or people’s health.

A recyclable product and a recycled range
During its lifecycle, one of the key features of polypropylene is its ability to be recycled many times without any significant change in its physical properties. Priplak has also embarked on an ambitious scheme to collect some of the waste from larger customers. Together with its physical characteristics this has enabled Priplak to develop a certified range of 100% recycled polypropylene (available in South Africa on an indent basis).
